About the timbers:

American Ash
The unique grain in American Ash is what sets this timber apart. An overall light coloured sapwood with a unique heartwood ranging from greyish brown to pale yellow and brown - there are no two pieces of timber alike. We offer the choice of American Ash in Porter’s Limewash finish, for a clean and light look.

American Oak
One of our most popular timber choices, American Oak is a very clean timber with a tight, fine grain and generally very little markings. It’s colour ranges from blonde to light brown and is widely sought after for use in furniture, flooring and joinery. We offer the choice of American Oak in Osmo Raw finish.

American Walnut
A naturally prestigious timber featuring a rich chocolate brown colour with grey accents and a tight, fine grain. This timber is favoured by many craftsman for its responsiveness to glueing, carving and joining - making it a premium timber for furniture and joinery. We offer the choice of Walnut in Osmo Clear finish.

Hard Maple
For a very clean and light look we recommend the maple. The colour is a consistent creamy white with an occasional fleck of light brown. The tight and subtle grain gives this timber a warm yet modern look. We offer the choice of Maple in Osmo Raw or Porter’s Limewash finishes.

About the finishes:

Osmo Finishes
Osmo natural wood finishes are based on oils and waxes. The oil penetrates into the wood surface, protecting the wood from deep within.  The waxes form an elastic, microporous surface which protects the wood from external moisture and abrasion. The wood remains naturally beautiful, protected and durable.

• Osmo Raw - for those that love the raw look of timber look no further. The osmo raw finish is close to being invisible to the eye, and retains as much of the wood’s natural colour as possible. The clear, slightly milky application counter balances the ageing yellow appearance that can appear in timber overtime, leaving the surface looking as near to natural as possible.  

• Osmo Clear - The Osmo clear is a satin matte finish that beautifully accentuates the grain of the timber. We recommend this application for American Walnut.

Porter's Finishes
A durable, natural look and feel, clear water-based finish with excellent UV stability and advanced yellowing resistance. Applied by brush.
